What can I say! Well, the team at Families First Funerals were great, they didn't try to take advantage during an emotional time, they listened to what we needed / wanted and they were extremely professional and always seemed to anticipate those additional details, such as providing bottled water at no extra charge, having tissues on hand, keeping aside memorial cards and asking us if we wanted to take some flowers home. Thanks again guys.

Such an experienced, respectfull, organised and caring crew. Rob Mattiske himself made it all a very calming ride for us all. Thankyou to all for the great service you provided our family and helping us smile. A very hard time made better.

My beautiful dad past away 2 days before Christmas 2022, I contacted Southern Cross Funerals on the 23rd of December, and was comforted instantly by Matthew Kwoka, what he said to me in those crucial first moments of our deep loss made me feel like he was part of our loss, our family and our pain. From that moment he and his team were there for us from this moment on, and wow were they there for us is an understatement. Matt and his dedicated, beautiful staff never left our side for a moment. This team of passionate people worked on arranging my dads service all through Xmas on public holidays , while they themselves were on holidays, the fact it was Xmas made no difference to their commitment to us as a family and ensuring we were OK, not just with logistics but our emotional needs through this time were at the forefront of their minds. When I took my mum to meet with Matt, it was a public holiday and Matt went out of his way to meet with us, he actually initiated the meeting on a public holiday so we could have some comfort in knowing it was all being taken care of. For us this initial meeting to arrange my dads funeral was going to be nothing shy of devastating but we seriously left with sore cheeks from the laugher and a weight lifted of us from knowing the caring hands we were now in - our dad would have felt so relieved he was now in the hands of this beautiful group of people. The staff at Southern Cross Funerals are not just employees working for a company - they are passionate dedicated humans who honestly care about YOU and what you are going through. Rebecca & Jorja worked endlessly, while on leave themselves to put together the photos and music for us to show our dads life in pictures. We were all so blown away with the job they did and what they produced was so very special, words could never express how that part of our service meant so much to so many people - Thankyou so very very much. Dads farewell / service was made unique by these people at Southern Cross Funerals. This is the hardest time of my life losing my dad and my families, and we are just so grateful we had the privilege of Southern Cross Funerals honouring our dad and being a crucial part of our lives at this time.
